In August 2007 I made the trip up to the bellfry at St Michaels to shoot off a few pictures. Sadly, it was a dull depressing day (much like most of the rest of the Summer to be honest!) and within a few minutes of this picture being taken the heavens opened and it rained steadily for the rest of the day.
Please notice the traffic on the A1, and St Kyneburghas church at Castor standing proudly amongst the trees. Mid way up the picture on the left hand side, you can see an area of raised ground with a single tree standing and a slope going downhill from right to left. I believe that this is the ground where a Roman villa stood in ancient days. The woodland at the top of the picture is Castor hanglands.
